How to setup IMC on PartsTech
Interamerican Motor Corporation (IMC) Set Up Instructions
Step 1: Gather your IMC account information:
To set up your local IMC location on PartsTech, you’ll need two pieces of information:
(1) Your customer number and (2) your IMC Password
How to find your customer number
You can find your customer number on a recent IMC invoice. Look at the top of the invoice, you will usually see it labeled as Customer Number or Account Number.
How to find or reset your IMC password
Your IMC Password is the same password you use to log on to IMC Web Warehouse. If you have forgotten or lost your IMC password, you can retrieve it by calling IMC support at (800) 874-8925 or visiting http://imcparts.net/ and clicking “I lost my password”.
You can also try calling your local IMC location directly, just make sure to let them know you are trying to set up your account for online ordering via PartsTech.
What if I cant find or don’t have an IMC password?
That’s OK. You can move on to Step 2 and we will help you get set up on the back end (though this may take more time). If you have your customer number, you can input that in the Customer Number field and leave the IMC Password field blank for now.
Step 2: Enter your IMC credentials on PartsTech
To enter your IMC credentials on PartsTech, return to the Supplier Setup screen. Click the blue pencil icon to edit your local IMC location information.
Then enter your credentials in the appropriate fields. If you don’t have your IMC Password, that’s OK, you can leave that blank for now and a PartsTech rep will help you retrieve this information later. Please double check to be sure you have the correct IMC location selected. Once you’ve entered your information and checked for accuracy, click “Save.”
Step 3: Complete the set up or registration process and check your account status.
If you’re setting up a new account on PartsTech for the first time, please be sure to complete the registration process and confirm your email. Also, don’t forget to set up your other preferred parts suppliers.
Next time you log on to PartsTech, you will be able to see the status of your Federated account in your Supplier Settings (pictured below). Look for the green “Account Verified” message. That means your Federated account on PartsTech is set up and ready to go.
