    Federated Auto Parts Set Up Instructions

    Step 1: Gather your Federated account information:

    To set up your local Federated Auto Parts store on PartsTech, you’ll need three pieces of information:

    (1) Your customer number, (2) your Federated Link Username, and (3) your Federated Link Password

    How to find your customer number

    You can find your customer number on a recent invoice from your Federated Auto Parts store. Look at the top of the invoice, you will usually see it labeled as Customer Number or Account Number.

    How to find or reset your Federated Link username or password

    Your Federated Link and Password are the same credentials you use to log in to your Federated Link Account.  If you have forgotten or lost your username or password for Federated Link, you can find it by visiting https://www.federatedlink.com/ and clicking Forgot Username or Forgot Password, as pictured in the screenshot below.

    If you don’t have a Federated Link Account, you can call your local store and ask them to help set you up. Be sure to let them know that you want to be set up for online ordering so you can order via PartsTech.

    What if I cant find or don’t have a Federated Link Username or Password?

    That’s OK. We can help you get set up. If you have your customer number, you can input that and leave the Fed Link Username and Password fields blank for now.

    Step 2: Enter your Federated Auto Parts credentials on PartsTech

    To enter your Federated credentials on PartsTech, return to the Supplier Setup screen. Click the blue pencil icon to edit your local Federated Auto Parts store information.

    Then enter your credentials in the appropriate fields.  If you don’t have your Fed Link Username and Password, that’s OK, you can leave that blank for now and a PartsTech rep will help you retrieve this information later. Check to be sure you have the correct Federated location selected.  Once you’ve entered your information and checked for accuracy, click “Save.”

    Step 3: Complete the set up or registration process and check your account status.

    If you’re setting up a new account on PartsTech for the first time, please be sure to complete the registration process and confirm your email.  Also, don’t forget to set up your other preferred parts suppliers.

    Next time you log on to PartsTech, you will be able to see the status of your Federated account in your Supplier Settings (pictured below).  Look for the green “Account Verified” message. That means your Federated account on PartsTech is set up and ready to go.
