A successful joint venture since 2005
Behr Hella Service is a joint venture of the companies Behr and HELLA. It was founded in November 2005 in order to jointly serve the global independent aftermarket for vehicle air-conditioning and engine cooling. Behr and Hella each have a 50% share in the joint venture. Gerwin Vilain and Jürgen Laucher manage the company.
Behr Hella Service is a logical step forward from previous collaboration between both companies in climate control and frontend modules in the OE business. The joint venture was initially active on the European independent automotive aftermarket and has since successfully established itself in the international aftermarket, for example in South America, NAFTA, Asia/Pacific and South Africa. Due to the strong market position of Behr and HELLA, the company is one of the leading providers in the thermal management area. Its customers include automotive part chains, wholesaler groups, independent dealers and specialists in the areas of engine cooling and vehicle air-conditioning. In these sectors, the international HELLA sales organization is the preferred sales partner and handles comprehensive support for customers as a result.
